The update we’ve all been waiting for. Stress or an adventure.

Hi everyone.

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has helped me get to where I am. I literally couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.

In life things are either a stress, or an adventure. I plan on making this very stressful period of my life into an adventure that will help strengthen me, build me up, and get me healing, and to raise awareness for others who suffer from the same or similar eye diseases/conditions/impairments.

I would be honored and humbled if you would join along by following me, and encouraging me on this journey.

I am currently in Dublin Ireland, and underwent my fourth surgery here Friday 2 weeks ago (May 24th 2019). The doctor is happy with my progress so far, and we’ve scheduled the next assessment and evaluation for July 16th 2019 to schedule the next surgery. After that one, we will schedule the last surgery for sometime at the end of August.

As it is right now, I still cannot see clearly or read much at all out of the left eye, and this will take around 6 months for the cornea to heal full and stabilize. Due to this, I still cannot work for a few months until the vision gets better. I cannot afford to starin my eyes any more than they have been.

All of this is good news, it means that I am well on the road to recovery.

Due to the way my eye is healing, the doctor has given me the go-ahead to begin cycling, and I plan on starting the actual cycling trip this coming Wednesday June 13th 2019.

I don’t have a specific daily distance in mind, as I plan on taking each day as it comes, both from a fitness, and a vision standpoint. But I do plan on photographing and vlogging the daily trips with updates here, on Youtube, Instagram, Linkedin and possibly Twitter.

Due to my eye condition, I will not be able to do much editing at all, so most everything will be very close to the actual RAW journey. It should be very exciting :-).

  1. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, we can only pray your vision gets clearer every day and no matter what, you have people who are thinking of you and praying for your speedy recovery. It’s hard to be alone in such circumstances, especially when one is far from home. So hatzlacha, blessings and prayers of health, and safety.

    1. Thank you so much Dear. It’s very moving and apropo that the first message I get is from my beautiful wife. Thank you for the kind words, the blessings and the love coming from across the pond.
